Stock’s Harley-Davidson "Girls ONLY Ride"

You are invited to our fifth Annual Stock’s Harley-Davidson”Girls Ride”! Thank-You again to all who have made this so successful, you are truly the reason this ride continues each year. All of you that have never been on this ride we promise a great time…Thanks for considering it! This ride, just like years past, encourages new and experienced riders. This is a great way to meet new people in our area who share the same interest, test your riding ability, and do something for yourselves. Hopefully by the end of this letter you will be just as excited about the ride we have planned this year as we are!! So come on, keep reading, I can’t wait for you to see what we have planned for the trip.

P.S If you don’t know anyone else going, don’t worry about that to much…you will have many new friends very soon!!

Monday-July 14th

We will leave the dealership at 9am, FYI… this means be here no later than 8:45 ready to go! It’s kind of a short trip today, we plan on being in Spring Green WI by early afternoon. Our destination is House on the Rock. We have included a ticket for this in the price of the trip. We will stay at The House on the Rock resort, which is located 7 miles from the attraction. Every room at the resort overlooks a gorgeous golf course that you can also take full advantage of. They also offer a huge menu of different types of spa services and body treatments to help you relax.

I have been told the House on the Rock can take many hours to go through, the earlier we get there the better. To check this out go to www.houseontherock.com.

Tuesday-July 15th

Wow!! It’s going to be a day…Today we are on our way to Prairie Du Chien where we will cross over the Mississippi River and head to Pike’s Peak in MN . Pike’s Peak is a state park and has an awesome scenic overview of the Mississippi, we’ll have plenty of time to take pictures and explore the area. It is absolutely breath taking. You will love it!! From here we will travel the Mississippi River to La Crosse. We will stay at the Holiday Inn downtown where we can park our bikes and walk across the street to the Julia Belle Steam Boat. (For those of you that were with us a couple years ago this is a different boat) We have rented out the boat for a 2 hour cruise. The boat offers a cash bar, live band and hors d’oeuvres. The closest boat you will find to this one is in New Orleans. To check it out go to www.juliabelle.com .

Wednesday-July 16th

Our journey home… it’s a go your own pace day, some leave very early and others sleep in late. We all have different directions and have different paths to go so feel free to plan your day accordingly, but please know there is a large group that will travel back to Manitowoc area together. Remember ladies, there is no race on this trip when we get there, we get there! Our riding is mostly 55mph and under. We try our best when we plan these trips to stay off major highways to avoid any faster speeds than this.

A few more things to consider…
The cost of this trip will be $120.00 per person…

This will cover the House on the Rock ticket, your boat ride, two-hotel night stays, and a bandanna. Leaving you responsible for gas, food and shopping. J You must be paid in full by June 10th. Please understand if you back out after June 15th your money down is not refundable and you must be paid to consider yourself “signed up” for this event.

Our one requirement for this trip is that you must be able to travel at 55mph. We understand if this is a lot of money to come up with at one time, so we have made arrangements with our boss, it’s OK to make partial payments if you need to, you have the next 6 months…

If you’re scared to ride in a group this big, don’t be. We do split up into groups of 10 and each group will have their own leader. Hopefully things will go smooth. We also will have a meeting before we leave just to introduce people and go over Group Ride Safety Tips. (You will receive another letter when this will be held in June)

As always feel free to pack whatever you’d like-the truck and trailer will be with us not only to tow a bike if needed, but most importantly carry our bags and extra gear…one never knows what the weather will be like when you’re packing (right?J)!

Again, we encourage every woman rider we know to consider this part of your “Things I want to do next summer list”. Remember, all makes of motorcycles are welcome to join us, and if you’re afraid you won’t know any one who will be there just remember that’s how all of us became friends in the past years. It’s going to be lots of fun, please join us!!

Thanks,

All the Girls at Stock’s Harley-Davidson
